Vegetables to Eat to Remove Body Fats

Bike and Save the Earth

Earlier I posted that we must watch our pot bellies.  Big bellies are not healthy and may be the cause of puffing and huffing for some of our colleagues especially when climbing hills.  A lighter body weight, less leaner tummy is equivalent ot buying a PHP l00t carbon fiber frame (which can be l to pounds lighter than your aluminum frame) but you reduce 20 to 50 lbs from your body weight.

You can use the video for he ab exercises we have posted and take belly fat reducing vegetables.

It may be Bad News for our Colleagues with Prostate Swelling?!

Bike and Save the Earth

We have at least two fellow bikers with BPH.  It is not a laughing matter and we would like to take it lightly as banter with them at Simples Lugawan.

We should support our fellow bikers with such an ailment;  and pretty soon we will be patients too;  that is why I am making this research and blogpost.

The good news that following some sensible advice will treat, cure and even reverse the condition.  However, one of the tips, avoiding prolonged sitting is a death knoll for the continuous biking activities.

But the advice of eating water melon (pak wan  sounds like f...k one!) occasionlly engaging in si is part of the advice to clear the prostate of prostatic fluid and shrink the  prostate.  Enlargement of the prostate is really a sickness of men with o lovelife!!

I Biked Well Today

Bike and Save the Earth

Although this is just becoming once a week road work, I think I am getting stronger and better with:  my abs exercises, and harder stationary interval training.

I did 22 (35km) mph on flat road and l5 mph on hills  (24 kph) I can do it also at 53/l4.  I can use harder heavier gear and I feel that they are lighter and my rpm increases.

Foods To Counteract BPH or Enlarged Prostate

Bike and Save the Earth

I rode early today and saw most of the Recyclists at Simples Lugawan at 7.  I was no 2.  The younger Mariposa (son of Netoy) was ahead of everybody.  There will be a ride to Real on April 8 to 9;  with overnight stay at Baywatch;  damage would be at PHP and our group, group I will be in charge.  Helping me will be Edgar (7days) Master Edwin, and Nanding (driving)   Others with us are Secx, Engr.  June.

Luis will email the details shortly for posting at blog

The conversation shifted to affliction of prostate (BHP) and could not answer much on the nutrition.

Prostate Problems for the Recyclists

Bike and Save the Earth One of our fellow bikers was suspected by his wife (now a senior) of having extra curricular affairs while biking. One of the sis in the ladies camp suggested that for most males, this is the m.o. And so our colleague became a usual suspect. But then he developed urinary problems and had to see a doctor. And was diagnosed to be having prostrate problems. In that case, the cause of his prostrate problems was not having enough sex. Two of of our colleagues now have this prostrate problems. And there will be more. It is time to know more about this and know the cures. That is why I set a site, which covers the prostrate problems and ED problems. You can visit the site.

Watch Your Waistline, ABS Exercises

Bike and Save the Earth

The more important thing to watch is your waistline. A big waistline means that you have plenty of fats on your liver, lungs and heart and they have to work harder, and may malfunction much earlier. The longevity of a person is inversely proportional to the size of his/her waistline. I have researched these free video to trim your waistline. I have noticed that many of us bike and yet we have battle with the bulge. Coupled with sensible diet and nutrition, these abs exercises may help.

We All Drink Sodas During a Ride, but isnt it Risky Now?.

Bike and Save the Earth

When we ride, and congregate at Manang Simples Lugawan, or Pisong Kape, or Manay's Eatery, we all order our favorite softdrink.  Cola or ....Dew.   However the recent news feed should make us more cautious:

Recent newsfeed tell us the risks:

l.  Make us overweight;

2.  Increases the risk of heart attack;

3.  If it contains aspartame, the risk of cancer also comes in.

4.  Ordinary softdrink contains phosphoric acid  which increases body acidity.  High acidity in the body is conducive to cancer and osteoporosis.

Having considered this risk, will you continue taking softdrinks.  Water will be better? Or buko juice (BJ?)

My Bike Ride Today March 18, 2012

Bike and Save the Earth

I woke up late and started just before 7.  As expected, there were not many Recyclists seen along the way.  However, right after coming down from Cardona and at Morong boundary, I discovered that the MTB rider whom I towed from Binangonan up to Callahan was Danny, and the guy I was pursuing from Tayuman to Calumpang was Gerry.  Gerry disappeared at Calumpang and I thought he had a break away.  I did not realize he took a leak there.

We did l5  18 kph going up Callahan and maybe 38 max at Morong Hiway.  And all that pursuing just to eat lugaw and rice cake at Simples lugawan. I also met Jem there whom I learned is an expert on turbocharging and carbon fiber.

On the way back we took the Teresa Antipolo route.  I left Gerry and Danny at Teresa.  At Teresa though I had to stop for Pi2 from Taytay who broke his chain.  Was I glad I had the chain tool with me.  Ever since the Bicutan chain breaking, I see to it that I had the chain tool.

Despite the fact that my bike was 53-39 chain ring, everything was comfortable and easy.

Then we went to Antipolo church for the mass.

Fwd: Health e-Tips - FDA takes on the deadly cherry

It was found out that cherry, especially the tart variety is a good anti inflammatory drug, better than aspirin and COX2 without the serious side effect of stomach bleeding or gastric discomfort.  This was based on the report of the American Society of Chemists which sites the healing value of cherry.  However FDA wrote 29 of these cherry growers when they started flaunting the findings of such research when they pitched the cherries.

What has the FDA done?  Is cherry now a prescription drug?

It is not even a food supplement, or a herbal product but a fruit.  (O yeah it is a food all right. But can FDA ban raw unprocessed food?)

What precedent has this FDA action done?

Benefits of methylcobalamin for Bell's palsy.(Vit B6, B12)  Remember a newscaster from the ABS-CBN group who had bells palsy?  It results in the deformation of the face;  the face droops to one side because of fatigue, lack of vitamins, minerals and what have you.  The dosage is lt to 2t microgram for 7-l0 days until effects are visible.  It must be discontinued if there is no effect.

Did our Creator make a PERFECT FOOD?

Stunned researchers now say "YES." Gram for gram, this amazing discovery packs awesome amounts of Omega 3 fatty acids, plus:
  • 6 times more calcium than whole milk...
  • 15 times more magnesium than broccoli...
  • 3 times more antioxidant power than fresh blueberries...
  • More fiber than flaxseed...
  • More protein than soy...

With friends like these
Dear Reader,
As Will Rogers once said, "I don't make jokes. I just watch the government and report the facts."
And if those facts weren't so infuriating, maybe they would be funny.
Consider the latest bad joke our own FDA is playing on us. They now consider a fruit eaten for millennia -- cherries (yes, that's cherries) -- an "unapproved drug!"
Haven't heard about the FDA's courageous stand against the cherry, yet? Well, wait 'til you get a load of this one.
In 1999, a report in the Journal of Natural Products (published by the American Chemical Society, the world's largest scientific society) concluded that tart cherries may relieve pain better than aspirin and other anti-inflammatory drugs.
Gout sufferers have known about this for decades. Even the intense pain and inflammation of an acute gout attack usually disappears completely after consumption of one to three pints of concentrated cherry juice over the course of just a few days.
Cherries and concentrated cherry juice work for other pain, too, although both have a lot of carbs and calories so it's better to use capsules of cherry concentrate for longer-term pain and inflammation relief. Capsules also have the advantage of reducing inflammation at just 1/10 the dosage of aspirin.
Cherries rival top-selling anti-inflammatory drugs
In the study mentioned above, the consumption of about 20 cherries reduced inflammation in a manner similar to that of aspirin or the "cox-2" inhibiting drugs, without the side effects of gastric bleeding or vitamin depletion associated with these drugs.
But when cherry growers began to cite this scientific research, the FDA sent warning letters to 29 companies that market cherries, threatening regulatory action if they didn't remove the science regarding the anti-inflammatory properties of cherries from their websites.
Does it seem like the FDA is being irrational to anyone else? What's worse is that irrational behavior combined with power can be very dangerous. But, unfortunately, this is nothing new.
For decades, the FDA has been a danger to you and your family's health. Nearly 20 years ago, the government's own General Accounting Office (GAO) wrote: "GAO found that of the 198 drugs approved by FDA between 1976 and 1985...102 (or 51.5%) had serious post-approval risks...the serious postapproval risks...[included] heart failure, myocardial infarction, anaphylaxis, respiratory depression and arrest, seizures, kidney and liver failure, severe blood disorders, birth defects and fetal toxicity, and blindness."
That terrible record continues into the 21st century (Vioxx is just one example that springs immediately to mind).
And to add insult to injury, while it has been busy approving all those potentially lethal patent medicines, the FDA has also been actively fighting against your right to keep yourself healthy with foods and food supplements! Picking on cherries is just one recent example. All the way back in 1949, former FDA commissioner Dr. George Larrick said: "The activities of...so-called health food lecturers have increasingly engaged our attention....[we are fighting] the good fight against dried vegetables, vitamins, and similar products."
And in 2007, the FDA even released a report on its own incompetence, titled FDA Science and Mission at Risk. You can find it easily online by entering the title into Google.
Real FDA reform is long, long overdue. But you can help get the process started. Some key natural health organizations have joined in an effort to reform FDA. Please visit www.reformFDA.org to read much more about this effort, and please consider signing the petition! Your own health--and the health of all Americans--is at stake.
Yours in good health,
Christine O'Brien

About face Q: About a week ago, one side of my mother's face began to droop and she has had no control over it since. We initially thought she had a stroke, but her doctor diagnosed her with Bell's palsy. He said it would go away on its own, but that it could take six months or longer for her to make a full recovery. Can you give us any suggestions for minimizing the effects of this disease in the meantime?
Dr. Wright: For those readers who aren't familiar with it, Bell's palsy is a weakening or paralysis of the muscles of the face and is due to trauma to the facial nerve. Because it usually affects only one side of the face and involves the muscles around the eye and mouth, drooling and tearing are embarrassing and inconvenient symptoms of this disease.
The symptoms usually come on very quickly and can occur to any one at any age, but older people, diabetics, pregnant women, and those with compromised immune systems are more at risk. Studies suggest that the herpes simplex virus may play a part in the development of Bell's palsy. As your mother's doctor indicated, the good news is that it's not permanent and will likely resolve itself in six to 12 months.
In the meantime, some people find that methylcobalamin -- a form of B12 -- can have a positive effect on Bell's palsy symptoms. Methylcobalamin is essential to the function and maintenance of nerve cells and their protective covering, the myelin sheath. I usually recommend 1,000 to 2,000 micrograms (1-2 ccs) daily until any beneficial effects have "plateaued" for several days. Stop after seven to 10 days if you find it is not helpful.
Taking a B-complex is also a good idea (especially one that contains B12, B1, and B6) but these don't usually contain methylcobalamin -- you'll have to work with a skilled natural medicine physician to find a separate source for that.

Bear in mind we are not addressing anyone's personal situation and you should rely on this for informational purposes only. Please consult with your own physician before acting on any recommendations contained herein.

Natural Cures Along the Bike Routes

Gravioli for Cancer, Angel bought for his wife

BJ, has the same electrolyte as body, has l0x more potassium than a sports drink

Yellow ginger, good for cough, better than statins in lowering bp? and safer

Philippines has a conondrum of vegetables and herbs that that are just being used as natural treatment for chronic/lifestyle diseases.  Lifestyle diseases:   heart, diabetes, cancer are the top killers in modern times. The western medicine is found to be ineffective;  cure rates are low, and death rate continues to rise.

Cure rate for  chemo is at 3% or less;  cancer patients are most likely to die not from the disease, but from the cure.  But gravioli treatment, it was found out, is l0t more potent than Acridymycin for stage 4 colon cancer patient, a study in Korea showed.  I found out that for the wife of Angel who was just operated on, she had to take guyabano (gravioli) and Angel dutifully bought the fruit, and the yellow ginger for her elevated BP.  Her BP though is elevated because she is worried.

Statins under commercial name have been found to cause diabetes and loss of memory.  The US FDA allready admitted this.  Vit C, to prevent inflammation of blood vessels that lead to athesclorosis, and yellow ginger are strong alternative natural cure.  Would you want to lose your memory as you lower your cholesterol level.?

Pay Attention to your Waistline

Bike and Save the Earth

The lifespan of people is affected not so much by weight, but by the waistline.  The life span is inversely proportional to the size of the waist;  the bigger the waist, the shorter lifespan.  I can think of 4 whose waistline are in the danger zone.  e, v, a, a,....

If you have big waistline then there are fatty deposits in your heart, liver, and lungs and that will prevent your engine from running smoothly.

Do crunches and refer to exercise for abs.

Can you guess who among Recyclists whose tummy are in the danger zone.?
