Just a small scratch; he fell on the grass at the side of the road
Angono, Rizal PHL
Our otherwise perfect ride to aborted Luisiana ride (it was raining hard when we were riding up Cavinti) was marred by the crashing of Chito - he was edged off the side of the road in the high speed peloton. He tried to climb back the high asphalt (about 4 inches high) and he crashed. He had scratches but they were not bad. He fell on the grass.
Pres Luis on the other hand broke his rear shifter cable near Pagsanjan before climbing Luisina. He must be able to shift because we were climbing. Unfortunately, no one had a spare shifter cable. They were able to obtain one, but the head would not stay (it was small) at the STI. But Luis is strong and was resourceful. We were able to climb the hills using high gears.
Gerry K and Chito at Pagsanjan; he is OK
Pres Luis enjoying his meal in Famy; he was not bothered by the broken cable
