Bro Eddie Pama
I joined Eddie Pama, another senior 64 years old in the bike ride today. I joined him as we biked away from Maybancal. And then later from Pisong Cafe up to Bugarin. We ate several buko at km 70 before San Miguel. The buko vendors he said are his buddies.
Eddie is from Passi Iloilo and he said he has several relatives who are LGU officials in Passi Iloilo and even a former colone. Eddie is a furniture expert; he used to own an upholstery shop in Taytay, before near Iglesia, and then later near the Hospital in Kaytikling.
He says he bikes 3x a week. His wife and children are abroad and there is not much to do except to bike.
He went abroad several times as OFW and described the horrors and difficulties of being an OFW. He invited me to his house to have lunch. We were in Angono by 12 and he bought a liter of sprite and bread which we shared.
He gave me tips on the gearing and how to ride safely. He said he biked since the l960s (that is 50 years of biking) I biked for only 4 years total. He is strong rider. His house is uphill and that trains his legs to be strong. He can do hard interval going uphill (at 64!)
Thank you Eddie for being a friend and being a biking companion.
We had 2 bukos each (bj) at 10 pesos each; he paid for my buko

That is why buko is expensive; a great deal of effort to pick it and bring to the outlet.
