The Lulit island; this is where we had lunch
This tour costs P1,600 per pax and our guide was Norie. We had with us a couple and their unica hija who was working. The husband was a dentist and the wife is a manager of a retailing giant.
We toured the Pambato reef, another community based social enterprise sponsored by ABS CBN. It is run by citizens of Sta. Lourdes and we were sort of motivated to do snorkling of the deep pamabato reef. I survived it though a non swimmer.
Then we we had lunch at Lulit island (Lulubog Lilitaw) We had lato, grilled pork, fish, sitaw, and pusit for lunch (reheated by Norie, the guide) Th we had mountain dew to wash this down.
Then we went to Pandan island (there was no Pandan) but plenty of buko (so we call it buko pandan) The ride was at open West Phil Sea and therefore was rough. Legend used to run this, but their presence is now a legend too. ?
We had lots of swimming and snorkling here.
We rode in this brand new Grandia van, outsourced by travel agency
We had to rent booties, camera shield here; P50.00 php more expensive
At the Sta Lourdes wharf
It was bedlam, all because of P40.00 EPF, we wasted 2 hours
The stuff for rent here is PHP 50.00 cheaper; were we scammed?
The barangay earns so much so they turn off the lights
Waiting for turn to pay the EPF; can they be more efficient?
The wharf was swarming with vans;
x We were worried that we could not get a boat.
A lot of guys spent their batteries posing here
x We had to rent booties to avoid feet injuries at the corals
A shanty at the sandbar
At the Pambato reef

The snorkling area is cordoned off
All geared up for snorkling
Am the man at the right

At Lulit island
At Lulit (lulubog, lilitaw island); it is still litaw
The island was not yet inundated when we arrived;
A floating resthouse
Colorful flaglets add gaiety to the island
Norie preparing the salad and cutting the grilled pork
Another floating resthouse
Watch how fast the water level rises;
When we left, the sandbars are gone, only the huts are above water
The island about to lubog (sink) from the high tide.
At the Pandan Island
Our boat, Meil Patricia; Ian was our tow truck at snorkling
Pristine water for snorkling
Pandan island from a distance.
It was high tide when we arrived. Compare to the 6th picture on this post.
