Great long ride at the province

Wheels of Happiness

The ride yesterday started at 7:00 am.  But there were sporadic rain showers and we were rained out 2x and our other companions were furiously pedalling at 30+ kmh on mtb.  Whew.   It took us nearly an hour to reach the highway.

Then another 30 minutes of riding until we reached our "guide" heiress of a mt river resort who brought some food and refreshment for us.  After 17 km or riding,  10km flat and 7 km from highway to the foot of the mountains we finally made it to the resort.  The last km was a punishing uphill climb that was maybe 15% grade.    I made to the top without tulak.    Clear water with waterfall. and sumptuous lunch

Thanks was able to make this

Criscar resort in Adelina St, San Carlos Hts, Tayuman Binangonan, Rizal

Wheels of Happiness

Binangonan, Rizal Philippines | December 29, 2013

A business without big sign is a sign of of small business?

It took me a while to learn and remember the site of our year end party.  Criscar resort.  Someone told me to turn right to Rebecca, then turn right again.  It was the wrong turn.  It was right in front of the road at Adelina, (going up to the water tank) from Gate 1.  It does not seem to be very unique nor had good signage nor a good PR to be well known.  Maybe this post will drive traffic to their site. (or maybe they do not have website?)< I found out they have website which they can improve further.  Villa Criscar

Maybe they email:   jorgeus.george@gmail.com  How they  can have simple landing page website, cheap.

June birthday celebration at Golden view hot springs in Los Banos, June 23, 2013

Real Cyclists

Laguna, PHL   |  June 23, 2013

How does biking affect the local economy?  I think it affects the places that bikers visit.  When it is not a biking day, the places we visit are dead - very little business.

At Pisong Kape, we would have probably ordered before 7 am yesterday about P1,000.00 plus in terms of softdrinks, lugaw and sports drink, and banana.  At an average of P40.00 per, we would have bought P1,200 worth of food.  At the buko store, the 31 or so cyclists buying P20.00 each would have bought P600.00 worth.  That could have provided enough income for the  family for the day.

At Manay's we paid Pl,100 for canton and monay;  this excludes softdrinks

Food and drinks gone in a little under 5 minutes at Manay's

Several thousands more were spent at the hot spring resort

P12.00 for a banana at Pisong Kape, masyadong mahal?

Bike Ride today June 2, 2013

View from the top of Laguna Lake and Manila East Road

As my posts reveal, I did not ride for two weekends.  And as such, I do not have much stamina and endurance to show.

I biked to Morong via Antipolo Teresa and went home via the Cardona bypass.  I saw some Recyclists at Maybancal:   Secx,  Joel, VM ,   Master, and Armin.  The rest have gone ahead to Pisong Kape.

I also saw this again and took the picture;  it was just repainted:

You cant  have heroes without this(??!)

I am surprised that I was able to pass via Cardona bypass with much ease (by pedalling slowly).

I focussed more on taking pollution pictures which on a day to day basis makes cycling no longer healthy.  Too much air pollution can kill:   it causes aside from respiratory diseases, Cardio vascular diseases (like stroke and heart attacks) and suicides.'

Let us campaign to make people be aware of increasing hazards of air pollution especially to biking and to our health.  Let us campaign to minimize if not eradicate the evils of pollution

View of Cardona bypass;   calls for strong legs and lungs

The descent (ascent) is steep and it is sometimes scary
