The 3 seniors all with first name J:   Jimmy, Jorge, Jovencio are hatching the crazy idea of riding from here to Gensan (with back up) The journey will require 18 days, including an RR in Mindanao 15 days ride, and 3 days travel on the back up. And may require about P50k in gas, food, and hotels

Here is the planned itinerary:

Kalaban init which could shoot up to 40 degrees Celsius

Ride early say 4 am.  Ride over by 10 am to avoid extreme heat

The Jumbo Lotto team was rated only 3/10, a little bit of disappointment (based on team performance) but despite this, the bike evokes so much love and admiration from fans. It is a very popular brand. And many bike lovers I know would like to have a Bianchi XR4 Oltre.   One kapadyak who owns two Italian steeds has just bought a Bianchi Oltre XR4 frame.  Wow.

(My Bianchi is a Jumbo Oltre XR4 edition.  Little bit paler Celeste Green, and with Jumbo Lotto decals)

At the tambayan in Wawa, I get known as the biker with the Bianchi.

It is only lately that I feel that I am one with my bike.  After nearly 10 years of biking. That comes from:

     1.  Constant use of the bike, and knowing its quirks and capability;
     2.  Being happy with its parts and performance: 

          1.  The fit:  TT tube 50 cm
          2.  Weight due to 1.2 kg alum frame, 1.435 wheel set, lightweight seat post,  stem, and drop
                bar:  short reach, (compact) and  120 mm drop.

          3.  The addition of Jagwire nipples for the cable leading to crisper shifting, and better
                braking

Hence, I on several occasions can pace with the paceline (or even lead the peloton) or lead other similar age riders.  And I do not get fatigued as it was before.

With a good bike and with great appearance, you are more motivated to bike, and bike better

Mr. Vhen Apran and I practiced today by riding from Angono to Morong, Teresa, and Antipolo.  Unfortunately for me, I lost the missing link near the new Taytay Market.  I had to do a scooter like ride ie pushing off with left leg and coasting along when there is momentum.  Fortunately for Vhen, he rescued me and pushed me home from San Francisco to near M. Diaz.  Thanks Vhen

But we had great ride.  Going up between Morong and and Teresa, and Teresa and Antipolo.  I did not have to go to 32 sprocket.  Only 28 t.   We spent some time at Antipolo Church.

Ride last April 22, 2018

Four of us rode:   Reymundo Pactao, I,  Jovencio and Jaime Maravillosa.  It was supposed to be a 3j practice ride for the 1,800 km odyssey to GenSan.  The 3J are:   Jorge, Jaime, and Jovencio

Reymundo, I and Vhen were on the first part of the practice from Angono to Morong.  Since Reymundo is young I have to keep pace with him.  However, I mayabang tried to outsprint him at Callahan and Namay.  Medyo dipa lang ang distancia.

Then Jim joined us at Pisong Kape.  We were not clear as to where we were going. They changed from Jalajala to Bugarin and to Bugarin I went up.  (Di pala sa Jala jala) But they joined me later on.  Reymond was pacing at 10 to 12 kph and the two other seniors were left by about a km.  We had buko at OL and then went home.  It was pretty hot.  And this calls for early biking time to avoid the heat.

I may be able to obtain a  S works Venge  Vias but we are still struggling negotiating on the price.  It is not the special edition color of Peter Sagan.   It was bought for a big amount but the  owner changed his mind and wanted a Bianchi instead. I wanted to utilize the SRAM red with BB30 crank.  The S works houses BB 30.

Peter Sagan rode on a traditional bike last April 10, 2018 winning the Roubaix Paris race.  No Di (electronic shifting) and only rim brakes.  We are reminded of him dumping bike with Di that failed (dead batt).

He quarreled with PR and Marketing of Specialized.  

So why dont we have a Tarmac of SL6 carbon bike frame even for a show if not the skill, strength and speed of Peter Sagan
