Falling prices predicted for framesets (especially carbon), entry level bikes, but rising prices for GS

Wheels of Happiness

Now that the secret is out ie that many high end carbon fiber bikes are made in Taiwan, that there are more suppliers:   Trinx, Merida, have  come in Keith; there at least 3 OEM suppliers in MM, 2 in the South (one in CDO and one in Cebu) frames, framesets are likely to fall down.  Even the 2nd hand market price is likely to drop. The Willier 2nd hand prices used to be fixed at P30k+ fixed.  But many cant sell at P25K.  Brand new Willier Triestina used to be P50k. But there are BN at P40K plus.

It is common now to see entry level bikes:  Xix at P6K,  Trinx at  P10k plus.  Many bike shops multi branches are sprouting:   Ryan, the Bulacan chain.   The old traditional bike shops I think, are reeling from onslaught of new bike shops.  Not to mention Mars Kingdom and many more.

Now there is Lazada competing too;  you can order direct from China via Alibaba....

However the high end GS from Shimano Campy and SRAM will continue to have field day.   Unless SAVA, Giant and Cannondale have their own version.  They too I think will think of competing.  Or even FSA will not just produce cranksets...But GS too.  Ultegra 6800 can be had at P21K but now you cant have one for P27k

Ano effect ng TRAIN LAW  sa bike /parts prices.  Malaki ba daw?  Parang..Mahal na fuel pricces, kuryente. Ano ba itong mga Presidente.... Pati hobby natin na perder...
