Galedo now third; that he is the virtual champion announcement was premature ejaculation?

Wheels of Happiness

Angono, Rizal Philippines

Lapaza

Mark Galedo of 711, and so his team dropped to third place in the 13th lap of Ronda to Morong, Bataan. Lapaza from Mindanao is now No. 1,  with 12 secs margin, and Pouly No 2,  18 seconds ahead.  Very slim margin.  Galedo was outstrategized by the the leaders.  He was left behind, and maybe the team work of the opponent was stronger, and his weaker.  It is a very slim lead though that may steill be overhauled today.  7 11  need to be organized in today's crit at Marikina (Heights) to get back at #1 spot for individual and team standing.  Teamwork and strategy is still the name of the game at crit.

That is why in Tour de France there are 2 time trials to really determine the strength and speed of individual riders.  TT is really only the rider, the road and time.  It is brute speed, strength and power.  There is no place for strategy, drafting, team work.  It is really a test of the rider -  nothing more nothing less.  (Do they have this at current Ronda?)

But whether it is Galedo or Lapaza, we are happy, and we can cheer for Filipinos who beat the foreigners.  The Filipino riders are now made of better stuff and trained well for this event.  Santy Barrinechea can TT for 50 kmh.  Even our strong rider, Armin could only keep up with him for  1 km.

Mabuhay and God bless today's champion
