Baguio Ride 2012

Bike and Save the Earth

As I was not able to join the Baguio ride, I could only do a hearsay blog;  there is no first hand personal knowledge of the ride (some learning from the impeachment trial of the CJ)

l.  First day ride took more than 8 hours (total riding time?) at an average speed of 23+ kmh for 206 km distance to Urdaneta.  They reached Urdaneta at about 6:30

     Some interesting news:

           l.  The team vehicle got lost and went to Nueva Ecija instead;  so the guys had to buy their own food at about l:30.  They were still at Angeles City by that time.

           2. Diego and Richard got flat tires.  Richard's tire tormentor was a key

           3.  Allan crashed and had scratches when his bike slipped on sandy road shoulders (Beware of riding on the road shoulder)

           4.  Secx was a DNF;  he had cramps at 94 km

2.  The second day ride was uneventful;   everything went smoothly.  They were at Rosario junction by 9 am;   at Lions Head by 11 and were at Baguio city proper past l2.

Congratulations to our strong Recyclists Riders and thanks to the support team led by VM.  For those who were not able to join, better luck next time!!

This was last year's Baguio ride:
