Edgar crashed while avoiding an MTB at Amadeo highway
Several challenges (difficulties were with us today) on a our ride to and from Tagaytay. They were minor though:
1. a Ados chain broke on the way up through the Amadeo highway. Fortunately, he knows how to repair the link. However, he and VM did not have the chain remover/tool. I had. So solved. He connected the chain anew at the Petron station in Tagaytay
b. He had a flat tire in Daang Hari, and we had to supervise him and eat while he was repairing his flat.
2. Edgar crashed while avoiding a HS MTB, he suddenly crossed his path on the way down Amadeo highway. Fortunately it was minor scratch on his shoulder, legs and just bruised ego.
3. Joel had a flat too. But that was easy. There were plenty of tsalaps around Bicutan at that time.
4. But the biggest challenge was the strong and cold wind. As we went home: in Daang Hari and at C6 the wind was head wind and made pedalling hard and difficult. I was exhausted when I went home and had to sleep at once to recover
These challenges though are our defining moments. How we react to these events define us as a person and and as challenge. If you crash and you feel bad towards Recyclists as having caused the crash is not a good definition of you. But if you learn from the crash so that it does not happen to you again then that is a good definition
So with the chain that broke. Learn your lessons well: replace your old chains; bring tools always. Use easy gear whenever possible
Note the new white shoes of Edgard
x We had a first aid kit!
VM spent P700.00 more or less for the first aid kit
Ados flat at Daang Hari:
We supervised Ado while fixing his flat. Ha6!
Edgard was kind enough to help
I had to return to Ado because the bead popped out! So he had to reinstall the tire
Joel had his share of challenge, a flat. Thanks for the Bibingka again
Joel fixed his flat here in Bicutan (in front of Jollibee
