Most of us bikers would not have the opportunity nor the fitness to run the Boston Marathon, a must for every marathoners.  But of course we can ride thrice or 4x that distance on a bike.

VM and I used to do marathons. We were officers of ARC Angono Running Club together with late Cayong Picones (he was kidnapped and murdered as per stories. It is a tough ordeal, a mind over matter ordeal.

Running NY or Boston Marathon is every marathoner's dream, if only given an opportunity. I know of only one Filipino who has a picture of himself finishing the Boston Marathon: Dr. Jaurencio Jarin of Medical City. He is an ENT who treated my father for throat cancer. He studied in Boston (that is why he ran the marathon.)
