What is next for Recyclists?

Biking and health

Angono, Rizal  |  January 31, 2013

This coming Sunday, February 3, 2013, the Recyclists will wear their new uniform (mostly unpaid to VM) bike to Pisong Kape, go back via Teresa and attend mass at Antipolo for thanksgiving for the safe voyage.

Others like VV suggested that we plan early the long rides on a monthly basis to strengthen the cyclists and lengthen the mileage for endurance.    Suggested destinations:     Dalton Pass, Subic (Barretto), Naga City.

This will enable Recyclists to make periodic installments for the damage/fees so that they can join the rides.

What do you think?

Maybe a group ride to Tacloban City, or GenSan?  The bike ride of a lifetime.

Maybe we can Ride up Dalton Pass? (to be Renamed Balete Pass?)

Bike and Save the Earth

Yesterday and today, I was not able to ride because I had a business trip to Solano Nueva Vizcaya.  I welcomed the opportunity to survey Dalton Pass.  It does not look bad to climb after all.  I think they are of the same difficulty as Atimonan long route.  The roads, just like in Atimonan, are undergoing construction.  If we have done Atimonan, Real, Cavinti and Caliraya, then we can climb Dalton Pass.

There is a pending news that Dalton Pass will be renamed Balete pass, in honor of the Battle of Balete that took place there.

The pass, the only access to Nueva Vizcaya, and the boundary between Nueva Ecija and Vizcaya, was named after Gen James, assistant commander of 25th ID who was pursuing Yamashita... Dalton,  was felled  by Japanese sniper shot performing that mission.
