Is exercising more the answer? Not necessarily.
Taking cue from the Greeks, moderation is the key. Anything that is taken in large doses or large quantities has a point of diminishing returns. In the graph of Abet, he showed that little dose has little or effect; but maximum dose results in death.
There is the sweet spot where there is a trade off between length of exercise and stress level.
And how is this possible: by having short intense exercise and lifting weights.
He showed the picture as a result of a. exercising longer distance and b. short distances but with sprinting.
