What? We are Suspected of Using Biking as Fronts for Naughtiness

Are Recyclists 2010 naughty Boys?

I do not want to touch on this.  The reason I blog our rides is to be able to show every one that we are engaged in honest to goodness activity, good enough to be at internet, and at all social media.

It saddenned me that there was a loose talk that one of our comrades is being suspected by his better half of engaging in hanky panky?   What?   All the hours of the riders are all accounted for?  That is sad? We making  a front of this very hard demanding activity for our genital needs?

But looking at this picture, what do you think?  Is this guy worthy of the trust of his better half?
What do you think of his tool?  Large?  Medium?  Small?  Will his be in demand?

Our Sierra Madre Ride Via Sampaloc Today, May 13, 2012

Sierra Madre Ride Via Sampaloc Tanay

The Peloton, led by Smith, going up Sierra Madre from Sampaloc.  Its is 9:19 am

Taking Sampaloc route to Sierra Madre Hotel

It is an unusual ride;  most of the time, the Sierra Madre ride is from Antipolo, Cogeo Marcos Highway, Foremost,  Garden Cottage, and then to Sierra Madre Hotel and then down to Tanay town proper, Baras, Morong, Cardona, Binangonan and then home.  This time we took the opposite route via the torturous route of Sampaloc, and then to Cogeo, Olalia highway (it was a killer hill) and then home.

Is Coffee a Performance Enhancing Drug (PED)?

The "Food Pharmacy" by Jean Carper on Caffeine as Performance Enchancer

Caffeine is not just in coffee!

I uaed to wonder as to why famous local PHL energy drinks contain so much caffeine ( 133 mg up to equivalent of 4 cups) and why an author on cycling,  Dr. Arnie Baker recommends drinking coffee before a TT.?  Cafffeine is not just in coffee;  so much of it in energy drinks..(together with Ginseng, ginko giloba, and taurine)

Now I you know.

Caffeine as performance enhancer?

It was found out from page  172 of Carper's book that caffeine is a form of  PED? that caffeine in coffee improves endurance of individuals vs. fatigue.  It improves the amount of time we can perform physically exhausting work.  Thus competitive cyclists given 330 mg of caffeine pedaled 7% harder and endured 20% longer without them noticing it.

For other sports in  a study of 80 subjects, 250 mg of caffeine resulted in the following:

 Other  sports  performance improvements:

54% in long jump;

80% in 100 meter sprint,

60% in shot put.

When will they consider caffeine as PED and ban taking this in international competition.?

In the mean time, go to Dunkin donuts,, McCafe, buy 3 in l, Starbucks, Figaro, buy cafeng barako and keep on going to Pisong Cafe.
