Mangga is an interesting place.  It is where most bikers congregate on a Sunday.  At any given time, as many as a hundred bikers roost to show off bikes and uniform and talk at this point. Mangga is near Padis point, and right in front of Palos Verdes and Montana Subd.

You can have your snacks, buy parts and cheap jersey, shorts.  I bought a set for only P300.00 then (shorts and jersey)  It is the l68 of bikers.

Over the border It's sportive season British Cycling Favourites from the blog Wiggins pulls out of the Tour de France Spotted Non is off to a flyer! Since the last newsletter Wattbike Ambassador Non Stanford has kept up her excellent early season form. Following her win in Portugal on the European Tour, Non took a brilliant second place in San Diego at the ITU World Triathlon Series and followed it up this weekend with her first senior win on the ITU World Triathlon Series in Madrid. Watch the video here.  Non was amongst the leaders after the bike leg and then ran away from the field eventually winning by over 40 seconds. This represented Non's best result on the senior stage and confirms that this season she is really going to be one to watch.  Since San Diego, Non has also won the opening French Grand Prix of 2013 in Dunkerque which set her up for an incredible win in Madrid.  You can keep up with the rising star of British Triathlon by following her on twitter...but of course we'll keep you up to speed too! After a quiet 2012 season, Wattbike Ambassador Dean Downing has been on great form so far at the Tour Series this year. Dean sprinted to two second places finishes in Stoke and Torquay and has rarely been out of the top 10. Dean's new team, Madison-Genesis have caused quite a stir this year, not only with their strong performances but also with the fact they are bucking the trend of riding carbon frames, instead opting for steel!  It's safe to say that Dean and his team mates are more than happy with their new frames, but can steel really rival the super-light carbon frames?  If you want to get to a Tour Series event this year, there's still time. Check the website to see if there is a round near you or you can catch Tour Series on ITV4 in the UK.  It's gone global! Many of you will be reading this from far flung places many miles from our HQ in Nottingham, England. Over the border Last month we were at the brand new Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome in Glasgow at the Scottish Bike Show. It was the first time we have taken our roadshow to Scotland and the response was fantastic. A highlight of the weekend was watching various members Team Wattbike take to the boards for some fun on the velodrome. If you ever have the chance to get on a velodrome, we can all recommend it!  It's sportive season Here at Wattbike HQ we are well in to our training and I am sure lots of you will be getting ready for one (or many) of the fantastic sportives available in the UK and around the world this summer. Pres Luis FB ed us and told us that we will bike to Mangga in Antipolo then go to Wilkies (a bike shop) to which I inquired -  why (did something happen to any of the members of the family?  No we will just go there and have the bikes of Armin tuned.   Luis Master and Armin answered the FB.

On the way to the rendezvous point, which is the INC church, I met Richard, but he elected to go Morong instead.  We waited until 7 for VM but he did not come.  So we left at 7 and went up to Antipolo.  Those who were with us were Pres Luis, Armin, Choco2, Jesse, Nolite and  I. (our numbers are dwindling lately)

We were at Mangga at about 7:30 and we ate 27 php lugaw with egg.  Master arrived later but he did not join us going down to Marikina because he might again break a spoke.    Then we left at about 8+ and were at Wilkies by 8:45.  But Wilkies would not open until 9:30.  We left by 9: 15 and would go home via Ligaya and Manggahan.  We saw a bike race in Calumpang.  We passed by floodway and were home by l0:00
