Met Cataps today who told the story of their counterclockwise ride around Laguna Lake yesterday.  He told me that they ran pretty fast because by 10:00 am they were all ready at Pagsanjan and was home by 2:30.j  Wow thats fast.  Average of 25 to 30 kph.

On Saturday afternoon they will do a 270 km ride to Baguio one shot.  So that by Sunday morning they are in Baguio.  

He asked me to join.  Kaya pa raw.  

However I am wary of my age and health, and current state of my ankle.  I suspect gout.

Surely yesterday a number of groups did a loop.  Maybe Laguna loop.  There were a number who late in the night as we struggled going home going home probably from Laguna loop.   We found posts of groups who had Laguna loop.

This  post accompanied a group of newbies who aspired to do a loop despite limited long ride experience.

Right at the start the group started on a wrong foot (having grown with a more disciplined group)

1.  Late arrival;   three were late and guest riders announced on last minute;

2.  The riders did not conform to the prescribed uniform or color;

3.   When asked to vote on choice of route, the majority (which included the 5 guest riders outvoted the

       leader and sponsor.   At the start there were two distinct two groups on a single ride.  So the group 

       of 7 stuck together

4.  The pack one pack all was not observed.  They rode as one.   And did not mind the sponsor and lea-

      der.   The main purpose of the joiners was to have a boasting ride and mind their ""ëchos

They were able to finish the feat in 18 hours. They have to be congratulated    And more things have to 

learned:

1.  They have to work as a group:   one voice to listen to;  wearing the same uniform

2.  Taking care of one another.  There was a suggestion to divide into two groups so that someone would look after the struggling member or those who are left behind.

3.   Reading the guide previously distributedfor the ride and following them

Good luck to them but over the year they were lead to be riders.  And it is sad to leave them and failed

 to make them as a team.   

The super Six today did a reverse Laguna loop in Record Time

The Super Six Recyclists who include Allan, Jeff, Weng and Angel Balubar, Luis and Gerry did a reverse Laguna  loop today. They started from C6 down to Muntinglupa, San Pedro, Binan, Sta Rosa, Cabuyao, Calamba, Los Banos Bay  Calauan Victoria, Pakil,  Sta Cruz Pagsanjan.

By 10:30 they were in Pagsanjan and at 12, were in Mabitac Their ETA was 3 pm.  Wow.  They did a fast clip for their flat ride!

There are two dissenting opinion on the regular route:    Mausok matrapik pag dating ng San Pedro Muntinglupa.  But it is mausok and matrapik in the  morning.

If you do the reverse loop, you are tired when you scale up Kalayaan and Bugarin. Which do you  think is the right route for you.?   The Binan folks I met last week did it our way, hurdling the climbs early on thus from Binan to C6 Taytay, Binangonan, Cardona, Morong Tanay Pililla, Mabitac, Famy, Pangil, Paete, Lumban, Pagsanjan.

I could have joined as the 7th rider, but I got an invitation for 49th home coming of our High School class.  I got as far as Highway 2000 to see the Super Six off
