Wheels of Happiness

An old picture in 2012 that shows Smith and Alan together near the fast food.
This party traveled on a business trip to Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro, November 14 to 15 2014. He left Calapan 3 pm on a boat ride, arrived at Batangas port at by 5 pm and traveled by bus up to Crossing.
It was difficult to get ride at Edsa central and Starmall and I tried to get a ride at Megamall terminal. Lo and behold, 5 minutes after a van arrived, and I found myself seated next to whom? Rommel (Smith and daughter Hannah).
I asked if the post of Pres Luis about the Jalajala ride pushed through. They said the ride did not push through because it was raining. But Jess, Alan, and Master arrived.
He also had a spat with the security officer regarding the placement of bike so that it will not be stolen.
They came from WTTC bike exhibit wanting to buy something different. I told them that I got an 88 gm pedal from all places, Marauder in Antipolo City, and Jagwire.
Rommel and Hannah paid for my P45.00 van fare. Thanks po. Nice meeting fellow bikers, after coming from far away place. It reminded me to bike tomorrow.

Bike ride today to Bugarin September 17, 2014
Wheels of Happiness
Rizal Philippines | September 17 2014
I biked today to Bugarin (well I planned earlier to just be at Pisong Kape - Gerry and Jess were there pala. I only saw Tito) I met Rommel (Smith) my cousin) as I was leaving. He was RIT with his daughter on the way to school. Hannah, his daughter, can ride MTB very well up to Pisong Kape and up Teresa. He asked if I was riding solo and I said yes
I left at 6:20 this morning and was at Sacred Heart by 6:30. I was at Morong, Simple's Lugaw by 7:20. I met two bikers there: one roadie and another MTB. One was from Taguig and the other was from Pinagbuhatan Pasig City. They were going back to Pasig and Taguig because they have job.

Smith would have raffled our names to join his deceased brother if Recyclists did not come
Real Cyclists

The Recyclists condoled with Smith on the death of bro Sabas
We visited the wake of the brother of Smith (Rommel) Unidad, Sabas, who died last Thursday of blood clot after jogging during these hot weather last Monday, after our bike ride to OL at Bugarin, Pililla.
He just did walk before; this was his first time to walk. His sister Wilma a nurse, who came home from Australia, that based on autopsy, he had blood clot on his ankle (secondary to just discovered diabetes)
Smith joked:
1. Since he is younger than Sabas, he might be next in line;
2. If the Recyclists did not come today, or anytime before the burial, he would draw lots as to who would be next.
What was funny was that Smith prepared cold drinks, Zesto and bread, rice cakes for the hungry and tired cyclists. It did not look like a visit to a wake. (No one viewed Sabas)
I was in the wake last night.
After passing the hat and giving our contributions, we left at 12.00
Smith, (2nd from right) as usual jokes despite their mourning; great refreshments for the Recyclists.
Armin, Jeff, Joel, Smith and Master
Weng, Ben, Pres Luis, Nolite at the back, and Armin
Interment will be on May 14, 2013, Janzen owned by VM got the service
Recyclists trooping out of the Unidad residence
The Recylists came in full force about to leave.
About the same period last year, May 20, 2013, the Reyclists condoled with our family. Our brother Sixto passed away after battling colon cancer.
