I went to the website of Trek Domane to see if I have the correct spelling and the correct model.  (the same bike that backed into the Cruze and ripped off its front fender and bumper last October 6, 2013  hahaha - does it look that way and I fancied copying this picture:  (look at the colors - black and blue)

How I biked yesterday, October 6, 2013

Real Cyclists

I left at 6:30 and as usual I went to the Sacred Heart Parish.  It was a lonely ride from Sacred Heart until I reached Mambog area.  I spun for most of the time but I tried to be in the 25+ kph speed.  There at Mambog, Richard and Armin caught up with me.  We took pictures of the accident and then biked on.

Seniors day?  I would break air for them

Armin and Richard told me they would not overtake me and I would be the one to break air for them.  I did hard interval going up at Montevideo, and even at Callahan.   Yet they were kidding me that I was getting stronger and I was loaded (kargado).  They allowed me to lead at Callahan, at the straightway from Cardona to Morong.  Then we stopped at Maybancal for Lugaw.  We were there at about 7:45.  Then we met the other guys:  Engr. June, Joel, Master, Richard, Armin  (VM was there)

At about 8:15, we started out for Pililla.  I tried to gain headway, but always and ever, they caught up with me at hillside between Tanay and Cardona but they were never far away. At most they were ahead of me by 500 meters or maybe l minute +.

Going back, I tried to be ahead and overtook Nolite at the Pililla ascent.   Going up at Baras the gang ganged up on me, however it was sweet revenge vs Eddie Pama who lost power as we raced for the summit.

I did not stop at Simples on the way home.  I negotiated LLDA using 53 x 23 (hard gears) to gain strength.

I was poofed out when I got home and this was indicative of the hard effort I put into the ride.

Pres Luis and Nolite had solo flight to Bugarin

We have not seen Nolite for quite a while.  Today, he and Pres Luis came down from Bugarin just as we were resting at Pisong Kape.

It is nice to see you again Nolite

It was a great day to bike yesterday.  As usual, I collect a number of photos of other riders so that they will also read this blog.  We cant be parochial forever;  we have to be open too.  Here are some of their pictures:

Fruits in season along bike routes - October 6, 2013 ride

Real Cyclists

Angono, Rizal  PHL  |  October 7, 2013

A lot of fruits in season were on sale yesterday and they were cheap:   rambutan is at P25.00 per kg;  lanzones is P50.00 per kg.   Durian is also aplenty at only P50.00 per kg.

Marang and durian according to the vendor, Gladys de la Cruz are a plenty in Paete, Laguna.  Lanzones and rambutan come from all over Laguna:   Calauang, Famy, Pakil, Pangil, Cavinti;  very few lanzones now grow in Paete.  I have heard very soon, Paete will overtake Davao as durian capital of the PHL.

Those who were selling fruits were found at:   Pililla (Halayhayin) - two sites,  Lagundi - 1 site;   2 sites at Bilibiran (mostly rambutan) and one at Tagpos, Binangonan, Rizal.

Unfortunately for me, I did not have a back pack to place the fruits, so I was not able to buy.

                               This variety sells for P30.00/kg.

Lanzones, today, they will be over ripe

Durian, reported one of the king of the fruits

Dra and Liza, both Class 88 of RHS, posing at Pisong Kape signage

We met some lady bikers yesterday at Pisong Kape in Halayhayin, Pililla Rizal.  I found out that they are from Caniogan, Pasig City.  They have an advocacy vs cigarette smoking.  They are members of Class 88 who would host the  grand reunion of Rizal High School (they would be working with our Class 68)   I learned that one them is named Liza and the other is a dentist.

Nice meeting you ladies.

Many though were looking at the lady riding tandem at her partner's motorbike

Their advocacy is vs cigarette smoking;  but many bikers ride and smoke

A very durable and strong bike - Trek Domane

Real Cyclists

Angono, Rizal   PHL   |  October 7, 2013

Carbon fiber bikes are really strong;  but dont you think that its structure is now weak?Trek should include this in their history books!

We saw an accident involving a car and a bike at Binangonan yesterday just before 7 am (near the Pajara heavy equipment depot) and it was sort of freak;  the car front was ripped off and was over the bike a very expensive latest Trek Domane (the one used by Cancellara)  The bike was still standing tall after being run over by the car.  (See photo)  Trek should be proud of the result of this accident

The bike owner was inconsolable;  he said the bike cost him P300,000 and he wants the whole bike replaced.  The car driver owner was not speaking.

And I told the crowd, maybe the vehicle drivers - jeepney, tricycles, truck think that we ride cheap stuff.  They would be surprised how expensive they could be.  It is a fair warning to drivers and can owners who think bikers are lowlife.

See how the bike ripped off the fender and the bumper (Hahaha the car bumped the bike -  you!!)

The Tarmac bike saying hello to the injured Domain;  that is Armin with Tarmac

Other bikers sympathizing, or simply UZI - Richard and Armin

Richard's jersey colors and that of Domane are the same

Armin and Richard feared that they smiled for this shot;  they did! (no empathy for the Trek Domane and its owner...)

The accident created a huge traffic mess; many are wondering how come the bike was still standing tall?!  It looked as if the bike ripped the front of the car....
