These are some more pictures at Cavinti, and Japanese Garden.  For all of us, it was the first time to climb Caliraya from Cavinti,  Most of the time, we climb from Lumban to Caliraya, the shorter but steeper climb.  I do not know which one is kinder???

The Japanese were the enemies during the war.  But it is peacetime now.  And enemies are just because of changing alliances. The Americans and the Japanese had great alliance after the war.

The Japanese Memorial Garden in Caliraya, Sept l8, 20ll Ride

Have bike, we will help save the earth...

The main part of the ride was the tour of Japanese War Memorial Garden.  It consist of ll hectares and they charge Pl0.00 per pax.  It was built in the l970s by the Japanese government to commemorate the Japanese soldiers who died at the place during the war.  The main memorial is made up of marble and located at the elevated portion of the garden. (I think we know this one)  The remains of famous Gen Yamashita is said to be interred here.
