Pacman lost to a better more talkative fighter.  Will there a rematch for even bigger price money?  We are all suckers to as P.T Barnaum said and may be Bob Araum. Nothing is free now;  only PPV to view great fights and even $10,000 ringside seats.  Thanks to all the hype, events become more expensive

So we rode back yesterday to see the fight.  We decided to leave early, considering that the ride back from Tuy was all uphill - 20 km and the heat would sap all our strength.  So we decided to sleep early May 1, 2015, wake at 3 am the following day, and leave at 5:30

Most of us woke at 3 am and we had great breakfast cooked by the resort staff.   Pritong tuyo, scrambled egg, 3 in 1 Nescafe, and fried rice - left over from last nights dinner of rice and sinigang na buto ng baboy

By 5:30 we were all ready.  We left at 5:40 after the prayers.   (Someone remarked that Nolite who used to rush people to leave was there - that was me.   Defensively I said we agreed on that and it was a duty to remind every one of the agreed schedule)

Its Mayweather Pacman fight today.  Pacman lost to Mayweather by unanimous decision.  But who cares, they earned millions in the fight of the century ($150 million each due to the hype and all the hee hawing etc) It is the time for May weather;  it is May anyway.

But kidding aside, 12 Recyclists labored it out to Naugbu May 1 and 2, a total distance of 240 km both ways, the peak of which was at 40 degrees Centigrade (when we were biking from Tagaytay City on May 1, from 1 pm to 3 pm., and from Daang Hari to home on May 2. Those were the hottest day of the year (will it get hotter than that)

Twelve showed up for this ride:  Armin, Echo, Jess, VM, Master, Joel, Gerry,Vhen, Jimmy, Meong, Jorgeusbiker, and Jeff.  Our Pres Luis did not show because he had LBM and fever as per his text

Yesterday was the birthday of my late father

Yesterday, I rode back from Morong via the diversion road in Cardona.  Despite the fact that I had a 27 sprocket I managed to climb this using 25 sprocket with 39 chain ring.  I went anaerobic (hingal hingal kalabaw) but it was easier than last Sunday since I was going back by 7:30 am.

Last Sunday, we rode the diversion road with the tropang Recyclists at 10:30 and it was hot at that time.  Pangskie did not join and 3 (that included me) were left behind.  (Two others were last and I understand one had to walk)

Our goal in yesteday's ride was to reach Kaybiang tunnel in Ternate 98 kilometers one way

Our ride yesterday took us to Kaybiang Tunnel in Ternate Cavite, a rather long and challenging ride.  Some clocked it at 198 km, out and back, some  say it is over 200 km.  Whatever it is our latest two rides one to  Lemery and this one, make the Recyclists very tough riders.

Riding up to Puerto Azul entrance and to the tunnel, and back was rather tough.   The 5 km up to Puerto Azul was tough, so was the ride to Mt. Palay Palay DENR station, and from the tunnel, going back to Puerto Azul entrance.  Couple that with the distance of 100 km distance while at Kaybiang, and you could just imagine what went in our mind as we rode.

The Kaybiang tunnel is the longest in the PHL so far, and connects Cavite (from Ternate) and Nasugbu.  It is possible to travel between the two provinces via the coastal roads.
