Planned Visita Iglesia on Maundy Thursday, April 5, 2012

Bike and Save the Earth

There is a planned ride on Thursday, April 5, 2012.  It will be a Visita Iglesia;  this will involve visitation of 7 churches.  The debate was as to whether near or far church first. I proposed far away.

So the churches will be in:

l. Bugarin,

2.  Pililla

3.  Tanay

4.  Morong

5.  Cardona

6.  Binangonan

7.  Angono.

So we can do both:  ride and fulfill our religious rites as Christians.

Let us be there!  Everyone from Recyclists_2010

Many Bike Addicts Rode Today, December 4, 2011 Despite the Rain

Bikers are jorgeus and have more fun....

It was dark when I left at 630 am.  When I reached Tayuman, Binangonan Rizal, it started to have a light drizzle.  When I reached Cardona some areas were dry.  But by the time I was in Morong, it was raining.  But despite that many bike riders souls braved the rain.  As a matter of fact, on the way back at about 830 am. we met a pack of about 50 complete with Team Vehicle, wearing black, white and blue jersey in Binangonan, Rizal.  Because it was raining hard by that time, we shouted, " Addict".  Hehehe.  as if were not addicts....

Here are some pictures of today's ride, December 4, 2011:

Men in Red;  the Red Riders:  Amigo, Joel, Tito, Luis, and Armin

Out of courtesy, they allowed a blue man:  Jorgeusbiker; wet roads at the background

Rain, rain everywhere!

Roads are wet and slippery, dangerous; do you see the white horse sculpture with large dick?

                                             Dangerous curves

I had to take shelter near Grandspan, was all wet and glasses clouded

Some Future Long Rides

Have bike, we will help save the earth...

Some future ride options are being considered:

l.   The Sorsogon ride.  This was originally thought of by Gerry and me:  three days ride stop at Calauag, then Naga, then Sorsogon,  Bus ride on the way back.

2.  The Dalton pass ride from Umingan (alakman's place)

3.  Manila Baguio ride.  Stop over at either Urdaneta, or Rosario La Union.

Great challenging rides ahead, right, Recyclists_2010, how exciting!?

Hey, Gerry and Smith Tells me I am Improving!?

Have bike, we will help save the earth...

I am just wondering whether these two guys want me to make me feel good to motivate me.  We have a member who does not want to join the rides anymore because the Recyclists average now is 45.  (45 kph ridespeed or age).  But the guys are now stronger and faster.  I thought that I am being better because I can ride at 35 kph now or keep up with Joel for a short time at 45 kph.  They ride the hills at nearly 20 kph. My average for the hills is l4 kph (that is up from 8-10 kph).

But Smith (Rommel) told the group, after our Bugarin hill climb that I  now ride hills faster and stronger.

As for Gerry Cataps, I towed him from Tayuman to Morong. We overtook three groups:  Tamad riders, BCC, and some friends from Cainta with lady riders.  I beat him at Namay hill.

Maybe he not yet up to his old self after the Luisiana problem.  He stopped near the Mango trees on the way up to Bugarin.

That is great.  But I lack road rides during the week; it is mostly stationary trainer.  Stationary trainers work?

Am I really improving still, at 60%

WE WELCOME ARMIN.

November 13 2011 Ride

Have bike, we will help save the earth...

As expected, there were plenty of early bikers. Many went to Antipolo church. There were so many bikers at Antipolo church. Maybe they were praying for the victory of Manny Pacquiao vs Marquez (today is l2th USA time)

l. We just did a Morong Teresa Ride. We took off at 8 from Maybancal Morong and was at Antipolo church by 8:30. We went down at 9:00 am; we did not finish the mass and we were home by 9:30

2. Master noted that I missed his name in the Luisiana ride. Sorrryyy. It is the price we have to pay for getting younger

3. Many noted that there were no posts. I am sorry; was out of town and had no baggage allowance; did not bring laptop and the schedule abroad was hectic

4. We welcome a new friend: Armin Zapanta from Bloomingdale Homes and comes armed with a Giant bike and he is strong. He is an MTB rider.

5.  I met and conversed with Erning of  Concepcion Marikina.  He had a designer bike all done in pink color.  He said hiss bike is like a comics and has a story to tell.  With him was Mr. Rommel Cruz, the brother of Fr. Rodney Cruz, the former parish priest of Angono, where I live.  Fr. Rodney is now assigned at San Mateo Rizal.  Regards to Fr. Rodney.

                                                      Welcome to the Group Armin

Erning and his designer, er comics bike - may kuwento!

Scores of Bikers at Antipolo Church Hearing Mass and Praying for their Safety and :Pakyaw?
