Many serious accidents at Techno Park?

I have avoided being/biking at Technopark.  It seems to be that many of serious accidents happen at Technopark:

Mr. Zacarias broke his leg there;

Bayabas (Rene de Leon)  broke his ankle there:

Peter Francisco, a  65 senior cyclist broke his right arm when a motorcyle slammed at him on a practice run;

and there a lot more who met accidents there.

Is this observation correct?

We just learned from Master E that Rene de Leon, his cousin broke his leg while spinning at technopark.  That was last Thursday Feb 28, 2013 and he had to be brought to Rizal Medical Center.  News has it that he will be wearing antenna to straighten the bone and to give traction.

Get well sir -  Bayabas.  We hope we can visit him when he gets home.

By the way, always wear and strap your helmet.  News has it that somebody who had a loose helmet, fell on the gutter and broke his temple... And has to be hospitalized for serious injury.

Buy a good helmet, wear it always and be sure it is strictly strapped.

Biking and heal

I lacked mileage last week;  I had many trips and social obligations:   Christmas parties etc.  After my ride yesterday around Morong, Teresa and Antipolo, I rode in reverse:  Antipolo, Teresa, Pililla (Pisong Kape and back to Morong, Cardona, Binangonan and homebase.

I was at Antipolo by 7:15.  I met Mr. Elias Medina who looks like he is my relative;  he hails from Rosario Pasig but lives in Taytay.  Then there is another biker from Mandaluyong.  I finished the mass;  the Archibishop said the mass today.  By 8 I rode to Morong -  I met Richard, Joel and Master. near Holy Angels Memorial park.  I think they are riding to Antipolo.  Simples Lugawan was closed and therefore I rode to Pisong Kape and there I had my lugaw P20, 5 pesos dearer than Simples.

I met Bayabas (Mr. de Leon - the cousin of Master). He rode ahead of me.  For some strange reason at km 36 near the Convention Center of Binangonan, he rode beside me.

Over all I am happy with my ride:  I rode the right gears.  NOthing ached;  no injuries or accidents. But there were near misses -  I nearly struck a young lass who crossed the street walke up beside a jeep that stopped at the middle of the road (I could not avoid her far enough because there was incoming traffic.  whewwwwww - these jeepney driverssssss...)

I have wondered why a fellow biker is callled Bayabas.  I was with him from Bilibiran up to Morong this morning.  He also joined us on our ride home today.

Edwin, his cousin told me the story:)

When Bayabas was just starting to bike, he ran short of breath while in Mambog.  His cousin saw him and Bayabas said he could not see anything (sign of lack of oxygen going to the brain)   Edwin looked for bayabas (guava leaf) to revive him.  He was advised to go home.

The following week he biked again and this time, Mr. de Leon was more adventurous and went to Morong (at Maybancal.  Again he had the same symptoms.  Edwin was there and he again looked for guava leaves and was able to revive Mr de Leon.

From thereon, he was baptized, a.k.a. "Bayabas"
