Two young riders perish at MoA while resting at the sidewalk, a drunk driver without license caused the accident

Wheels of Happiness

Two cyclists were killed when a van ran over them at MoA while the two were resting at sidewalk.   One  died on the spot while the other was rushed to the hospsital but eventually  died.

The offender was a Toyota Hiace driven by a teen ager who had no license and looked drunk.  It was alleged that just like other automatics, the driver stepped on the accelerator instead of the  brake while executing a U turn.

Needless accident.   While you try to be careful, others are not.

Condolence to the family of the deceased.  Prayers and may both of them be blessed so much by the Lord.  and rise safe in heaven

Source of LED lamps and flashlights - NZE in Angono, Rizal

Wheels of Happiness

Rizal Philippines
April 15, 2017

There is no need to go to Quiapo, Riverbanks, Manga or even at MoA to get your led flashlight and blinker safety lights.  They are available right in Angono, at Capt Aliano St., (at the road beside the church coming from Dona Aurora, to E de la Paz)  The flash light is P350.00, the mount is 40.00 and spare batt is P90.00.  The led lamp, is only P150.00 (rechargeable)

Punta na bili na.

Some quarters are suspecting that when I post commercial establishments, like the Bikers World,  I am kasosyo.  No I am not.  I just want our kapadyaks where they can acquire accessories for low low bargain price.  Bakit ako sososyo kung maliit lang ang kita?  Siyempre doon tayo sa big time.  Ha6

Ride to MOA today, November 8 2015

                                      Fixie group and cyclocross

Yesterday, in Teresa, while having snacks, Edgar 7 de los Reyes hinted that he will be going to MoA today to watch a race.  I  thought that would be a great idea.  Since we have been a lot in FB about the activities of other riders at MoA

And of I went to MoA this morning.  I started out at 7:00 am and was at MoA by 8:30  I biked to floodway, left turn to Rain Forest, left turn to C Raymundo, Bagong Ilog, C5, then right turn to Kalayaan go up to the flyover to Buendia,   straight straight through Buendia past Paseo de Roxas, Makati Av.  Ayala, Pasong Tamo, SLEX Taft, Roxas Blvd  WTTC and finally to MoA.

First stop was Jollibee where there were other cyclists. The Jollibee here seems to undertand their PTM here -  bikers and were courteous and solicitous to them. There were other feeding stations that seemed to cater to bikers  Here I phoned Edgar and found out he was at Roxas Blvd. near Rajah Solaiman where he bought some bike parts

I went to MoA, then back to the avenue leading to PICC.  There were hordes of policeman having dry run for the APEC.   to Phil Plaza, PICC, the Coconut Palace, MIFF, then started riding home by 10:00  Unfortunately, while negotiating the intersection at Makati Ave, I fell.  (was not able to uncleat in time when I lost balance)

                                          Is the water clean?

Modern Manila skyline, like you are in a foreign land

                                        MICT modern port facilities

Folks at the back of Balagtas hall

Practice dragon boat race at the murky waters

Dragon boat race practice just ended

Traffic because of disorderly rude drivers (and they drive private cars!)

We rode yesterday to Baclaran, MOA and Christy's

Wheels of Happiness

Rizal Philippines   July 30, 2014

I joined the group of Jess V, Allan, Gerry K, Pres Luis and Jericho who rode to Baclaran yesterday, July 29, 2014, feast of Ramadan.  We left at 6:50 and were in Baclaran by 8:00 am (they said we would just padyak padyak and ride2)  I was not planning to join them and I said I would just ride up to Bagong Ilog owing to lack of rides and the just recovering leg/foot.

However, I thought I could join them if they would not race.  So on the way we traced the route of:   C5, then Heritage, Bayani Road, Airport Road, Villamor Air Base  (we had pics in front of Newport City and  NAIA 3)  then Roxas Blvd, and then Baclaran church.  The Church had few visitors/goers.  We had our picture taking there.  (It all ready posted at FB)  Then we had breakfast at Jollibee MOA.  That was until 9:00 am. Then we went to Christy's.   We bought:  Zefal glue (patches only P2.50 each vs P5.00 here.)   We also bought Panacer tires only at P600.00.  They would be about P900.00 locally.
