I still ride my rim brakes RB, do you?

Wheels of Happiness

I still ride my rim brakes  RB:   A VV S works and F10 Dogma.  One has Chris Froome symbol of hippo.   I still think rim brakes are great.  Anyway, somebody said (Merck) that to win you have to move forward, not brakek/stop.

The only reason why they are promoting disc brakes is for more peoeple to:

     1.  Buy new frame
     2.  Buy new more expensive Hydro GS,
     3.  Buy new rims with disc.

I have disc brake powered MTB.   with narrow 29 tires.

Chris Froome, another Brit, wins l00 Tour de France

Real Cyclists

Repost from ESPN Sports July 21, 2013

Eric Froome is the second Brit to win the Tour de France; last year it was Sir Bradley Wiggins; who unfortunately did not join this year's tour due to injuries.  He is a member of the Sky Team and his victory shows the strong following of cycling in UK.

Froome won the 8th stage at Pyrenees and never relinquished the lead.

His winning margin of 4 minutes 20 secs was the largest since 1997.  In the late afternoon finish that bathed the Champ Elysees in yellow golden light was the first.

It was  day for Brits.  Bradley Wiggins took the Yellow jersey as fellow Chris Froome took the lap victory. He was ahead of last year's victor Cadel Evans by 2 seconds as the latter floundered on the last climb.  Battle between Brits and Australians;  all kings/ queen's  men?
