Ven - "we will no longer join long rides"

Ven at extreme right, Gerry at the center

I visited Ven this morning and inquired how they did after the collapse from Pagsanjan last Sunday, October 5, 2014.  They (Gerry, Joel and Chito - the Mit boys) and him rode from Pagsanjan to Bugarin at Navarra, apparently tired.

According to Ven, he had 1.  huge cramps, 2. it was indeed a punishing ride and said that he and the guys who rode with him would not join the long rides again.  3.  It was dyahe because I did not collapse.

I said no such nonsense as the #2 because maybe they lacked the endurance ride.  More endurance ride will solve the cramping.

We hope to see you again in long ride.

We plan to bike to Sorsogon in December right?

One of the most challenging rides ever was to #Majayjay, Laguna

Wiki on Majayjay

As steep or steeper than Eastridge

I thought that the Caylabne ride was the most challenging.  But I did not have to walk the rest of the hill. And used a bike with 53 39 chainring.  At #Majayjay, I had 34 small chainring.

From Magdalena, I chased the group, and even followed Chito up to the junction at the head of the pack.  And then I was toasted.  We rested for quite a while at the Junction but it did not help us much not to walk

Repairing the front #Campagnolo changer in #Fujiko

Wheels of Happiness

Rizal Philippines  |   October 7, 2014

The chain guide of the front Campy derailleur cracked and I had difficulty in having the chain in the chain ring when I shift the front derailleur.  Boyet Flores did some band aid repair by having cable tie hold the steel and the carbon fiber part together.

It was good for a while, however, when we went to Caliraya, the cable tie left the changer and the Fuji chain jumped.
