We may be too much preoccupied with Cong Pacquiao feats, but a young 23 year old lad from Ormoc City is making waves defending his crown away from home.  This time he defended his IBF light flyweight crown vs. Panamian Luis Alberto Rios.  The defense was in Panama City. The title was retained in an unanimous decision  119 -109, 119- 109, and 118 - 110.

Since 2009, he has fought abroad:   Mexico, Argentina, Nicaragua and this time in Panama.  He also fought in Johanessburg South Africa last year; but was knocked out in the 5th round Moruthni Malane for the IBF 108 lbs crown.

Casimero was the fighter who was mobbed by Argentina's mob (the country of the new Pope) when he knocked out Argentinian Lazarte in their Plaza del Mar tiff.

Just like the Saranggani congressman, Casimero loves to box abroad and win honors for the PHL
